Establishes the Uniform Premarital and Marital Agreements Act to govern how prenuptial and marital agreements are created, interpreted, and enforced in Michigan

Requires all premarital and marital agreements to be in written record form and signed by both parties, with no consideration needed to make them enforceable

Makes agreements unenforceable if a party proves their consent was involuntary or obtained through duress, they lacked access to independent legal representation, did not receive adequate financial disclosure, or the agreement lacked required waiver notices

Prohibits agreement terms that adversely affect child support rights, limit domestic violence remedies, modify divorce grounds, or penalize a party for initiating divorce proceedings

Takes effect 6 months after enactment and applies only to agreements signed after the effective date, preserving rights under agreements signed before that date
