Qualifying schools must designate a staff member as a military liaison responsible for identifying military-connected students, serving as a point of contact for families, and coordinating appropriate services and programs

Schools seeking the designation must maintain a dedicated website page with resources for military families, including information on enrollment, record transfers, academic planning, and available counseling services

Schools must offer a student-led transition program to help military-connected students adjust and provide professional development for staff on issues affecting these students

Schools must implement at least one additional initiative such as monthly recognition events, a support resolution, partnerships with armed forces branches, or student clubs focused on military family engagement
