Creates the "State Employee Critical Shortage Retention Program Act" providing bonus payments to retain certain state employees in critical positions

Qualified employees include conservation officers, corrections officers, corrections resident representatives, corrections transportation officers, special alternative incarceration officers, state police motor carrier officers, and Michigan state police properties securities officers

Qualified employers are the departments of State Police, Corrections, Health and Human Services, Natural Resources, and Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy

Employees receive a $5,000 bonus for completing 2 years of service before September 30, 2026, and an additional $5,000 for completing another 2 years of service before September 30, 2028

Total bonus payments are capped at $10,000 per qualified employee, and the act only takes effect if Senate Bill No. 262 is also enacted into law
