Prohibits the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services from requiring prior authorization for prescription drugs treating opioid withdrawal symptom management or opioid use disorder under the Medicaid program

Eliminates dosage maximums for medications prescribed to treat opioid withdrawal symptom management or opioid use disorder

Maintains existing prior authorization exemptions for central nervous system drugs (anticonvulsants, antidepressants, antipsychotics), HIV/AIDS medications, cancer treatments, organ replacement therapy drugs, and epilepsy medications

Applies to pharmaceutical services provided through both fee-for-service Medicaid and contracts with health maintenance organizations or managed care organizations
