Creates a new licensure category for certified anesthesiologist assistants (CAAs) in Michigan, requiring completion of a graduate-level training program, a certifying examination accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, and an advanced cardiac life-support course

CAAs must work under the supervision of an anesthesiologist at all times, with the anesthesiologist required to remain in physical proximity to respond to urgent or emergent clinical problems

Limits supervising anesthesiologists to overseeing no more than 4 certified anesthesiologist assistants concurrently

Establishes licensing fees of $75 for application processing, $60 per year for the license, and $25 for educational limited licenses, with the title restrictions on "certified anesthesiologist assistant" and "c.a.a." taking effect August 1, 2026

Authorizes CAAs to perform a wide range of anesthesia-related functions including administering anesthetic drugs, performing regional anesthesia (epidurals, spinal blocks, nerve blocks), establishing airway management, administering blood products, and participating in cardiopulmonary resuscitation teams
