Requires all Michigan public schools, intermediate school districts, and public school academies to incorporate 1 unit of age- and grade-appropriate instruction on the history of seven distinct groups beginning in the 2027-2028 school year: Black, Indigenous People, Asian American and Pacific Islander, Latin American/Hispanic American/Caribbean American, Middle Eastern/North African/Chaldean American, Jewish American, and European American communities

Each unit of instruction must cover contributions to government, arts, humanities, sciences, and U.S. economic, cultural, social, and political development; history in Michigan and the Midwest (including discriminatory policies where applicable); and contributions to advancing civil rights from the 19th century onward

Superintendent of Public Instruction must adopt or develop instructional materials aligned with state social studies standards, created with input from relevant cultural centers, community members, experts, and scholars for each group's curriculum

Instruction must be appropriate for all pupils regardless of background, must not promote bias or discrimination, and may be delivered through virtual courses or integrated into existing lesson plans across subjects beyond social studies

Amends core academic curriculum standards to require age- and grade-appropriate instruction on institutional and societal discrimination against populations protected under the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act
