Expands the definition of "technology" that school districts can fund through bonds to include cloud-hosted software as a service, software licenses, software support and warranties, cybersecurity, physical security systems, and voice communication software

Removes the previous prohibition on school districts issuing bonds for "equipping or reequipping for technology," allowing technology purchases to be funded through bond proceeds

Prohibits bond funding for consumables (storage media, ink, toner, batteries), repair of end-user devices outside initial warranty, and curriculum-specific software or related training

Eliminates previous restrictions that limited bond-funded technology to only initial purchases of operating system or application software accompanying hardware purchases

Allows bond proceeds to cover consulting services for cybersecurity and general hardware/software use, as well as ongoing software support and warranties
