Bars insurers from denying claims based on material facts discovered during claims investigation that should have been found during initial underwriting with reasonable diligence

Adds these post-claim underwriting practices to the list of unfair methods of competition and deceptive acts under Michigan's insurance code

Amends Section 2026 of the Insurance Code of 1956 to expand consumer protections against insurer practices that delay or deny legitimate claims
