Modifies the Regional Transit Authority Act to update the election law reference for transit assessments, changing from a specific subsection (168.641(1)(d)) to the broader section (168.641) of the Michigan Election Law

Maintains requirement that transit authority assessments must be approved by both the board and a majority of voters at a general November election

Contains technical language updates replacing "its" with "the authority's" and "shall" with "must" throughout the section

Takes effect January 1, 2027, contingent on the enactment of a companion bill (Senate Bill No. S02806'25)

Preserves existing requirements that at least 85% of assessment or vehicle registration tax revenues be spent on public transportation routes within each member jurisdiction where collected
