• Creates new Minnesota Statutes chapter 184B regulating commercial use of inflatable amusement equipment at permanently located facilities where the public is invited or private events are held.

• Requires owners to place inflatables in compliance with ASTM Standard F 2374.07 and maintain at least one trained supervisor in close proximity actively supervising use.

• Mandates liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate per year, plus medical payments coverage of at least $5,000 per occurrence.

• Requires owners to register with the commissioner of labor and industry, paying a $100 fee for a two-year registration certificate, and submit owner contact information, facility addresses, and current insurance proof.

• Commissioner of labor and industry enforces requirements with authority to suspend or revoke registration and assess fines; effective August 1, 2010.
