$3,000,000 appropriated from bond proceeds to the commissioner of public safety for a grant to the city of Maplewood to acquire land and prepare a site for the East Metro Regional Fire Training Facility in Ramsey County.

Site preparation includes environmental work, predesign, design, and construction of the training facility within the city of Maplewood.

Commissioner of finance authorized to sell and issue state bonds up to $3,000,000 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and Minnesota Constitution article XI, sections 4 to 7.

Sections 1 and 2 become effective the day following final enactment.
