Amends Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 181.58 to expand the definition of "domestic partners" to include same-sex couples who meet specified criteria.

Defines domestic partners as two persons of the same sex who are adults, mentally competent, share a common domicile, have assumed mutual financial obligations, maintain an exclusive committed relationship, and are not married or in another domestic partnership.

Requires employers to pay surviving domestic partners up to $10,000 in unpaid wages, accumulated vacation credits, or overtime compensation upon an employee's death, with the same protections and discharge of liability afforded to surviving spouses.

Requires employees to provide their domestic partner's name, address, and telephone number to their employer prior to any payment under this section.

Amounts received by a domestic partner are considered in diminution of allowance under section 524.2-403.
