Amends Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 144.9504, by adding a subdivision establishing blood lead level guidelines for children.

Requires the commissioner of health to revise clinical and case management guidelines by January 1, 2011, to include protective health actions and follow-up services when a child's blood lead level exceeds five micrograms of lead per deciliter of blood.

Mandates implementation of revised guidelines to the extent possible using available resources.

Requires the commissioner to consult with a statewide physicians organization, Minneapolis public health department, other public health departments, and a nonprofit organization with lead abatement expertise when revising guidelines for blood lead levels greater than five micrograms per deciliter.
