Commissioner of human services may approve and implement pilot projects to provide alternatives to and enhance coordination of chemical health services under existing law.

Commissioner and participating counties must complete planning phase by June 30, 2010, with implementation scheduled no earlier than July 1, 2010.

Commissioner must evaluate pilot projects and report results to legislative committees with jurisdiction over chemical health by June 30, 2013, based on outcome evaluation criteria negotiated prior to implementation.

Counties may discontinue participation in pilot projects with 30 days' written notice; unspent funds from county pro rata share transferred to general fund upon discontinuation.

Repeals Laws 2009, chapter 79, article 7, section 26, subdivision 3, which contained earlier pilot project provisions.
