Allows portable deer stands to be erected and left unattended on public lands during deer season, beginning one day prior to the season and ending the day after the season ends.

Portable deer stands must not cause permanent damage, and spikes or nails driven into trees are prohibited, but screwing or clamping devices are permitted.

Unattended portable deer stands left on public lands between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise must display the "MDNR#" license identification number of the person who erected the stand.

Limits each person to one unattended portable deer stand on public land marked with their "MDNR#" license identification number.

Portable deer stands on public land do not grant exclusive use rights to the area, and compliant portable stands remain the property of the person who erected them, not public property.
