Extends eligibility for the ignition interlock pilot program to include individuals whose driver's license was revoked or canceled under chapter 169A for impaired driving, or under chapter 171 for violation of the "no alcohol" condition of a restricted driver's license.

Commissioner must denote program participation on the driver's license record and authorize driving only in vehicles equipped with functioning ignition interlock devices conforming to subdivision 2 requirements.

Commissioner determines the appropriate period for program participation and when participants become eligible for a limited driver's license with ignition interlock restriction, full driving privileges with ignition interlock restriction, or unrestricted driver's license.

Program participants must agree to participate in any treatment recommended by a chemical use assessment and sign a written agreement accepting program guidelines.

Violation of program requirements by operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device or operating a non-equipped vehicle is a misdemeanor; becomes effective the day following final enactment.
