Amends Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 169.871, subdivision 5 to reallocate fines and civil penalties for excessive weight violations in Washington County.

If violation occurs in a county with county attorney appearing in action, five-eighths of remaining fines credited to highway user tax distribution fund.

If violation occurs in a municipality with city attorney appearing in action, one-third of remaining fines paid to highway user tax distribution fund.

If violation occurs in Hennepin or Washington County with arrest made by county sheriff, three-eighths of civil penalty credited to appropriate county general revenue fund and five-eighths credited to highway user tax distribution fund.

Provision effective July 1, 2010.
