Repeals Minnesota Statutes 2009 Supplement, section 181.986, which regulated equipment and apparel requirements for public employers.

Eliminates the prohibition on public employers purchasing uniforms or other items of wearing apparel unless manufactured in the United States.

Removes the requirement that safety equipment and protective accessories be purchased from manufacturers paying an average annual income of at least 150 percent of the federal poverty guideline for a family of four.

Eliminates the exception that allowed purchases of non-U.S. manufactured items only when similar items were not manufactured or available for purchase in the United States.
