Fees received by the commissioner of health or health-related licensing boards must be credited to the health occupations licensing account in the state government special revenue fund, with revenues and expenditures tracked separately by board and used only for programs they administer.

Total appropriation for health-related boards is $14,147,000 in fiscal year 2010 and $13,946,000 in fiscal year 2011, with $6,000,000 transferred from the special revenue fund to the general fund in fiscal year 2011.

Individual board appropriations include: Board of Medical Practice ($3,682,000), Board of Nursing ($3,289,000-$3,289,000), Board of Chiropractic Examiners ($447,000), Board of Dentistry ($1,009,000), Board of Pharmacy ($1,388,000), and Board of Social Work ($921,000), among others.

Administrative services unit receives $524,000-$526,000 for operating costs, $201,000 one-time for retirement costs, $130,000-$150,000 for volunteer healthcare provider liability coverage, and $200,000 for contested case hearings and legal proceedings.

The act takes effect the day following final enactment.
