Amends Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 609.7475, subdivision 3 to extend felony penalties for fraudulent or improper finance statements to include retaliation against sheriffs and county recorders.

Establishes a felony offense with imprisonment up to five years or a fine up to $10,000, or both, when a person retaliates against a sheriff or deputy sheriff for performing duties related to a sheriff's sale of real property.

Establishes a felony offense with imprisonment up to five years or a fine up to $10,000, or both, when a person retaliates against a county recorder for performing duties related to filing liens on real property.

Increases penalties to felony status when the offense is committed with intent to influence or tamper with a juror or judicial proceeding, or when the person has been previously convicted of a violation of this section.

Effective August 1, 2010, and applies to offenses committed on or after that date.
