Establishes a new cause of action under Minnesota Statutes chapter 604 for intentional interference with the expectancy of inheritance or gift.

Creates civil liability for a person who intentionally prevents another person from receiving an inheritance or gift through fraud, duress, or other tortious means.

Allows injured parties to bring an action to recover actual damages sustained, and prevailing plaintiffs may be awarded costs, disbursements, and reasonable attorney fees.

Does not bar other causes of action based in tort or otherwise limit remedies available for those actions.

Takes effect upon final enactment and applies to actions arising on or after the effective date.
