Department of Health shall study the prevalence and prevention of autism in Somali communities in Minnesota, analyzing autism-related health disparities by age, location, toxic environmental exposures, housing conditions, poverty, nutritional factors, health care access, prescribed medical treatments, and occupational/residential history of parents.

Department of Health shall report findings and recommendations to the Public Health and Health and Human Services Committee chairs in the House of Representatives and Senate.

Commissioner of Human Services shall develop an informational notice for parents of children with autism enrolled in medical assistance or MinnesotaCare explaining fee-for-service coverage options, managed care disenrollment processes, and provider access, with language translations available on the department's website and included in mailings to enrolled children.

Departments of Health and Human Services shall ensure autism-related service providers receive training in culturally appropriate approaches for Somali, Latino, Hmong, Indigenous American Indian, and other cultural groups experiencing disproportionate autism incidence.
