Affidavits of candidacy must include a telephone number where the candidate can be contacted and either the candidate's residence address or campaign contact address, with candidates meeting safety requirements able to request their residence address be classified as private data.

Filing officers must review candidacy addresses upon written request from registered voters and remove candidates from the ballot if their address is not within the district represented by the office they seek, with determinations subject to judicial review.

Candidates who have organized a campaign committee, filed a financial report, or filed an affidavit of candidacy must be granted access to multiple unit dwellings and areas with multiple single-family dwellings on private roadways for campaigning purposes, with violations classified as petty misdemeanors.

Absentee ballot certificates must be completed as prescribed in voting directions before acceptance by the ballot board, and ballots with incomplete certificates must be rejected and the voter notified.

Requirements regarding residence addresses and facility access do not apply to candidates for judicial office, county attorney, or county sheriff positions.
