Revisor of statutes must conduct a written survey of persons and entities authorized to receive free distributions of 2010 Minnesota Statutes, 2010 Minnesota Laws, and 2011 Minnesota Rules

Survey must notify recipients that statutes, laws, and rules will be available online before print publications become available and ask whether recipients wish to continue receiving free copies

Revisor may survey a representative of each entity to determine the number of free copies requested, except legislators must be surveyed individually

Revisor shall distribute only the number of free copies requested in response to the survey, though later written requests may be fulfilled if copies remain available

Provision becomes effective the day following final enactment
