Chief Information Officer appoints a Webmaster responsible for supervising and developing state websites, ensuring they are maintained in an easily accessible format consistent throughout state government and compliant with established accessibility standards.

Webmaster provides assistance and guidance to other state agencies for maintenance of websites not under direct control of the Office of Enterprise Technology.

Chief Information Officer develops a policy to enhance public access to electronic data maintained by state government, including facilitation of data access through state information architecture, use of approved state metadata model for publicly available data, and conformance of geospatial data to an approved state geocode model.

Chief Information Officer must report to legislative committees with jurisdiction over the Office of Enterprise Technology by January 15, 2011, describing the policy development process, public comment opportunities, implemented policy components, and level of public use of new data access opportunities.
