Business screening services must only disseminate criminal records that are updated within 30 days of receipt or verified with the source within the previous 90 days.

Individuals can dispute the completeness or accuracy of their criminal records maintained by screening services, which must investigate without charge and correct inaccurate or incomplete records.

Screening services must delete records that have been sealed, expunged, or are subject to a pardon upon investigation.

Screening services may terminate investigations if they reasonably determine the dispute is frivolous, but must notify the individual of specific reasons and required information.

Screening services must include the collection date and a notice that records may include expunged, sealed, or inaccessible criminal records on all records collected on or after July 1, 2010.
