Amends the definition of "motor vehicle" in Minnesota Statutes section 65B.43, subdivision 2, to clarify that a self-propelled vehicle connected to or towing one or more trailers is considered a single motor vehicle for purposes of that definition.

Modifies section 169.09, subdivision 5a, to specify that when a motor vehicle is operated by someone other than the owner with express or implied consent, the operator is deemed the agent of the owner in case of accident.

Establishes that for vehicle combinations with trailers, the operator is deemed to be an agent of the owner of only the self-propelled portion of the motor vehicle combination.

Incorporates the section 65B.43 definition of "motor vehicle" into section 169.09, subdivision 5a, for consistency in statutory interpretation.
