Allows school boards to suspend teachers without pay while pending a hearing if the teacher has been charged with a felony and the underlying conduct serves as grounds for discharge.

Maintains existing requirement that boards suspend teachers with pay pending hearing conclusion, except in felony charge cases.

Requires boards to reimburse teachers for withheld salary if the final decision does not result in any penalty, suspension, termination, or discharge.

Mandates boards discharge continuing-contract teachers immediately upon notice that their license has been revoked due to conviction for child abuse or sexual abuse.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
