Repeals Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 84.02, subdivisions 1-8, which contained definitions related to native prairie restoration and grassland restoration.

Eliminates the definition of "ecotype region" that previously categorized Minnesota counties into ecological subsections based on a Department of Natural Resources map dated February 15, 2007.

Removes definitions for "best management practice for native prairie restoration," "created grassland," "native prairie," "native prairie species of a local ecotype," "restored native prairie," and "restored prairie."

Repeals Minnesota Statutes 2009 Supplement, section 3.3006, which applied the definitions of "enhance," "protect," and "restore" to clean water fund, parks and trails fund, and outdoor heritage fund purposes.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
