Extends the deadline for withdrawing from the Green Acres program from May 1, 2010 to August 16, 2010 for properties that ceased qualifying after May 28, 2008

Properties withdrawn by the new deadline are exempt from additional taxes that would normally be assessed when property no longer qualifies under the program

Counties must repay property owners for any additional taxes already paid prior to April 3, 2009, with repayment methods prescribed by the commissioner of revenue

Amendments apply to Minnesota Statutes section 273.111, subdivision 9, which governs additional taxes on Green Acres program properties

Effective date for withdrawals after April 30, 2010
