Amends Minnesota Statutes section 16B.24, subdivision 3, to establish a two-tiered process for disposing of state-owned buildings based on market value.

Buildings with estimated market value less than $50,000 may be sold, demolished, or otherwise disposed of by the commissioner upon agency request if determined to be no longer used or a fire or safety hazard.

Buildings with estimated market value of $50,000 or more require commissioner approval plus approval from the chairs of the Senate Finance Committee and House Ways and Means Committee before disposal.

Proceeds from building sales must be deposited into the account or fund from which the original appropriation was made, or into the general fund if the original fund cannot be identified.
