Counties may adopt ordinances complying with February 4, 2008 subsurface sewage treatment system rule revisions by February 4, 2012, instead of the original deadline under Minnesota Statutes section 115.55, subdivision 2

Counties must continue enforcing their current ordinances until new compliant ordinances are adopted

The agency must report by January 15, 2011 to the senate and house environment and natural resources committees on technical rule changes, local ordinance adoption progress, and water resource protection progress

The report must be prepared after consultation with the Board of Water and Soil Resources and the Association of Minnesota Counties

This section is effective the day following final enactment
