Requires Minnesota Department of Transportation commissioner to consult with the Minnesota Trucking Association before completing final roundabout design on any trunk highway construction, reconstruction, or maintenance project involving a new roundabout or substantial alteration.

Mandates commissioner to consider the suitability of roundabout design for commercial motor vehicles as defined in Minnesota Statutes section 169.011, subdivision 16.

Requires consultation with commissioner-identified representatives of persons who regularly obtain oversize or overweight permits under chapter 169 and would travel routes requiring use of the roundabout.

Preserves the commissioner's authority to make final design decisions for trunk highway projects despite consultation requirements.

Adds definitions to Minnesota Statutes chapter 161, including defining "person" as a natural person, partnership, corporation, association, or other legal entity.
