Authorizes the commissioner to issue special "FIREFIGHTER RETIRED" license plates to retired members of fire departments receiving state aid under chapter 69.

Applicants must provide a letter from their fire chief attesting to retirement and own a passenger automobile, pickup truck, van, or self-propelled recreational vehicle.

Charges an additional fee of $10 per set of two plates at initial application and renewal, plus standard registration taxes and other required fees.

Limits each applicant to no more than two sets of special plates for vehicles registered to them.

Allows plate transfer to another eligible vehicle owned by the same person upon payment of a $5 fee, despite other motor vehicle registration laws.
