Minnesota Legislature urges the federal government to provide funding for the state to reimburse medical providers for routine procedures and tests performed on eligible veterans.

Eligible veterans must be authorized to receive procedures and tests at federally funded medical facilities and reside more than 50 miles from the nearest federally funded facility.

Resolution identifies that many Minnesota veterans live 50 or more miles from federally funded medical facilities and face expensive travel costs to access routine care.

Secretary of State is directed to send copies of the resolution to the U.S. President, Congress leadership, Senate and House Veterans' Affairs committees, and Minnesota's federal delegation.
