Extends Minnesota Medical Assistance eligibility to single adults and childless households by adding a new subdivision to Minnesota Statutes section 256B.055.

Requires applicants to be 18 years of age or older and reside in a household with no children.

Sets income limit at 75 percent of federal poverty guidelines for family size using a six-month budget period.

Applicants must not exceed asset equity limits specified in section 256B.056, subdivision 3, and cannot be eligible under other existing MA categories.

Becomes effective the day after federal legislation is enacted that provides federal matching funds for states extending MA coverage to single adults and childless households.
