Amends Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 245A.18, subdivision 2, relating to child passenger restraint system training requirements for licensed child care programs.

Requires programs licensed by the Department of Human Services that serve children under nine years of age to document training on proper use and installation of child restraint systems before transporting children.

Training must be at least one hour long, completed during orientation or initial training, and repeated at least once every five years, covering child restraint use based on size, weight, and age.

Training must be provided by individuals certified and approved by the Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, with a list of approved trainers available through the agency's website.

Exempts child care providers who only transport school-age children in school buses from the training requirement.
