Amends Minnesota Statutes section 144.291, subdivision 2, to expand the definition of "patient" in health records law to include adult children of a deceased patient.

Adds "adult children" to the list of individuals who can access a deceased patient's health records, alongside surviving spouses and parents.

Maintains existing provisions allowing patients to appoint written representatives and health care agents, as well as protections for minors under certain sections.

Becomes effective the day following final enactment.
