Amends Minnesota Statutes section 16B.296 to exempt federally recognized Indian tribes located in Minnesota from the requirement that state-funded real property be transferred at appraised or fair market value.

Current law prohibits transferring state-purchased real property for less than appraised value or fair market value as determined by the commissioner of administration.

Adds federally recognized Indian tribes to the existing list of exemptions that already includes state departments, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, University of Minnesota, and political subdivisions of the state.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
