Affidavits of candidacy must include the candidate's residence address and a telephone number where the candidate can be contacted

Registered voters may request in writing that the filing officer verify a candidate's address meets residency requirements, with requests accepted up to one day after the filing deadline

If a filing officer determines a candidate's address is not within the represented area, the officer must notify the candidate and remove their name from the ballot, with determinations subject to judicial review

Candidates for offices with residency requirements that may be satisfied after the filing deadline must submit a separate affidavit with their residence address and telephone number by the residency deadline

Requirements do not apply to candidates for judicial office, county attorney, or county sheriff
