Adds physical education as a required subject area for statewide academic standards and accountability in Minnesota schools.

School districts must select and use either the state's six physical education standards or the National Physical Education Standards for kindergarten through grade 8 and high school instruction.

Maintains the existing one-half credit physical education graduation requirement for high school students beginning in the 2010-2011 school year and later.

School districts must notify the state education department of their intent to comply with federal Title VII Physical Education for Progress Act reporting requirements.

Requires school districts to post their current local school wellness policies on their websites when available.
