• Establishes a three-year professional evaluation cycle for all teachers including growth plans, peer review, professional learning communities, and at least one summative evaluation by a trained administrator.

• Mandates evaluation processes be based on professional teaching standards, student academic growth data, attendance, engagement measures, and teacher portfolios with performance assessments.

• Requires probationary teachers to complete at least 60 days of teaching service annually and receive evaluations three times per year (120+ days), twice per year (60-119 days), or once per year (under 60 days).

• Provides school administrators authority to issue discipline including last chance warnings, termination, discharge, non-renewal, position transfers, or leaves of absence for teachers not meeting professional standards or making inadequate improvement progress.
