Prohibits the Minnesota Commissioner of Education from adopting common core standards in mathematics, arts, science, language arts, and social studies.

Requires the commissioner to revise and align state academic standards and graduation requirements on a specific schedule: mathematics (2006-2007), arts (2007-2008), science (2008-2009), language arts (2009-2010), and social studies (2010-2011).

Mandates students complete algebra I by the end of eighth grade and algebra II by graduation (2014-2015 school year or later); science students must complete chemistry or physics.

Establishes periodic review cycles for each subject area beginning in 2015-2016 (mathematics), 2016-2017 (arts), 2017-2018 (science), 2018-2019 (language arts), and 2019-2020 (social studies).

Requires school districts and charter schools to revise local standards and establish periodic review cycles for health, world languages, and career and technical education on their own timeline.
