Appropriates $1,867,000 from the Clean Water Fund and $1,867,000 from the Outdoor Heritage Fund in fiscal year 2013 to the University of Minnesota Board of Regents for aquatic invasive species research.

Funds two faculty positions and eight graduate students in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior, plus up to $500,000 in research equipment for aquatic invasive species studies.

Appropriates $550,000 from the Clean Water Fund and $550,000 from the Outdoor Heritage Fund in fiscal year 2013 for carp research at the University of Minnesota.

Funds three graduate students focused on carp in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology, plus up to $550,000 in equipment for carp research.

Funds available until June 30, 2018, and may only be spent on activities directly related to the appropriation, excluding indirect costs and institutional overhead charges.
