Commissioner of Human Services shall develop a plan by August 31, 2012 for a residential campus providing 24-hour supervision for individuals diagnosed with autistic disorder (DSM-IV code 299.0), in consultation with the Commissioners of Education and Employment and Economic Development.

Plan must identify how costs and programming will be shared among agencies to meet residents' social, educational, sensory, and vocational needs.

Commissioner of Human Services shall develop a proposal to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services by January 1, 2013 requesting necessary waivers, state plan amendments, and federal authority to create and fund the residential campus program.

Program shall serve individuals up to age 21 diagnosed with autistic disorder and able to live in supported housing, providing continuous on-site supervision, sensory or therapeutic programming, and independent living, socialization, and vocational skills training as appropriate for each resident.
