Requires a prescribing physician to be physically present in the same room when RU-486 (mifepristone) or other abortion-inducing drugs are administered to a patient.

Mandates that the physician or their representative make reasonable efforts to ensure the patient returns 12 to 18 days after drug administration for a follow-up visit to confirm pregnancy termination and assess the patient's medical condition.

Requires documentation in the patient's medical record of follow-up efforts, including the date, time, and name of the person making such efforts.

Defines "abortion," "attempt to perform or induce an abortion," and "physician" for purposes of this statute.

Adds new section 145.4233 to Minnesota Statutes, chapter 145.
