All teachers and assistant teachers in child care centers must complete CPR training that includes techniques for infants and children, rather than only requiring one staff person present with training.

CPR training must be completed within 90 days of starting work, unless the staff member completed training within the previous three years.

CPR training must be repeated at least once every three years and documented in staff records.

At least one staff person must have CPR training during field trips and when transporting children in care.

CPR training providers must use programs developed by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or use nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines that include psychomotor skills instruction.
