Adopts the Uniform Community Property Rights at Death Act as Minnesota Statutes chapter 519A to govern disposition of community property acquired under laws of other jurisdictions.

Applies to personal property acquired as community property in another jurisdiction and to Minnesota real property acquired with proceeds from community property, regardless of current marital status.

Upon a spouse's death, one-half of applicable property belongs to the surviving spouse automatically and cannot be disposed of by the decedent's will or included in the elective share calculation.

Establishes procedures and timelines for perfecting title of surviving spouses, personal representatives, trustees, heirs, and devisees, with protections for purchasers and lenders acting in good faith based on apparent or record title.

Preserves creditor rights, permits married persons to alter their interests in applicable property, and does not override other legal restrictions on property disposition.
