Removes restrictions on disclosing information about individuals committed under the Minnesota sex offender program who live in residential facilities, allowing law enforcement to use the broadest disclosure authorized under section 244.052, subdivision 4.

Allows individuals to petition for reduced notification scope after four years from their provisional discharge or discharge date, with review by a multidisciplinary committee appointed by the treatment facility head.

Restarts the four-year petition period if an individual's provisional discharge is revoked, unless the treatment facility head discretionally allows earlier petitioning.

Denies review or appeal of petition decisions, but allows individuals to re-petition two years after a denial.

Effective the day following final enactment.
