Prohibits manufacture, distribution, or sale of engine coolant or antifreeze containing more than 10 percent ethylene glycol unless it contains denatonium benzoate at 30-50 parts per million as an aversive agent to render the product unpalatable

Applies to manufacturers, packagers, distributors, recyclers, and sellers, but excludes those who install antifreeze for compensation and vehicle sales that include pre-installed antifreeze

Requires manufacturers to maintain and make available to the public upon request records of the trade name, scientific name, and active ingredients of any aversive agent used

Provides liability protection for manufacturers, packagers, distributors, recyclers, and sellers against claims for personal injury, death, property damage, environmental damage, or economic loss resulting from the inclusion of denatonium benzoate

Effective January 1, 2013
